Mission Statement

The mission of the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library is to preserve manuscripts, to study manuscripts, and to teach about the cultures which produced them.  HMML weaves together the conservation, study and exhibition of the art of the book in order to increase the public's knowledge, expand its awareness and refine its understanding - all with the conviction that the hand-written record of human creativity that has inspired generations will continue to do so today and far into the future.
